After a complete reconstruction in 2012 Webb Road Flea Market is one of the newest and largest flea markets in North Carolina. It carry hundreds of thousands of products with free admission and plenty of free parking. The new facility includes 10 buildings that each have 12,000 square feet and are connected by a covered breezeway that includes food vendors that serve hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, authentic Mexican food and much much more!

There are many places in North Carolina that one can visit over the weekend, but none are quite like the Webb Road Flea Market. Located at 905 Webb Road in Salisbury, this historic flea market is open year round, every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 A.M till 5:00 P.M. Having opened November 1985, the Webb Road Flea Market has seen its fair share of ups and downs. In September of 2010, the area was rocked by an explosive fire which effectively destroyed the structure. Having been built out of wood, the structure was not able to resist the flames, leaving many vendors with no means of supporting themselves financially. Starting in 2011, the building was rebuilt and quickly restored to its former glory. Five years later, the project shows no indication of having ever been completely destroyed, although the memory lives on for many. This time however, being built to beat the blaze means that the Webb Road Flea Market will not be going anywhere any time soon. Sporting many unique vendors, the market is also renowned for its layout and easily accessed features, particularly the washrooms air conditioned interiors, and shaded exterior pathways. The new facility features virtually unlimited exterior spaces for vendors to set up with ample parking, allowing for the masses to come and shop without worry. Popular shops include Verna’s Leather. Selling various leather and riding gear for well over twelve years, she’s been one of the hardest working vendors that the Webb Road Flea Market has to offer. Through rain, shine, or even a fire, Verna’s will have the best leather jackets, vests, belts, saddles, purses and wallets that the Salisbury area has to offer. In addition to the ever present Verna, there’s also Rocks, Silver and Things selling a variety of items to the many hagglers that stop by each weekend. Various leather items including gun holsters, which are specially sized and tailored on the spot! This flea market offers everything that is to be expected. Antique shops, furniture stores, clothing shops, book stores and food services galore, the market is the ideal place to locate hard to find items that are on any buyer’s wishlist. The market occasionally offers train rides, setting up their own track for an overall fun time. Almost as famous at the market itself, Webb Road Flea Market was once a second home for Pork Chop, or Clampett Chop, as the former maintenance worker for the market. Leaving after the fire ravaged the market, many locals remember him fondly mainly due to his kindhearted nature. The personality was not lost despite his leaving though, as all the vendors channel a little bit of Pork Chop when they offer their wares each weekend. Regular customers all bear the same thing in mind when attending the market — bring plenty of money and be prepared to haggle. As good as the prices can be, it definitely helps if you can drop the bill down since there is always a plethora of items that one will be keen on going home with.
